The City of Newark will host a town hall: “State of Water” on Wednesday, October 2, at 6 p.m., in the Prudential Hall of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), located at 1 Center Street. Parking for press will be available on Park Place between Center Street and East Park Street on a first-come first-served basis.
Mayor Ras J. Baraka will join a panel of speakers who will have a discussion about Newark’s water, moderated by Public Policy Executive Richard W. Roper.
The event will provide residents with the latest information regarding the City’s water and steps being taken to move the City forward, including the progress of a first-of-its-kind program to replace 18,000 lead service lines city-wide at no cost to residents.
