 285 more positive cases than Wednesday, and a total of 4,248 since June 30th.

(Wednesday to Thursday there were 114 more; yesterday to today there are 171 more)

1 new death; a total of 45 since June 30th.

o NJ:

 A total of 249,380 positive cases, which is

4,123 more than Wednesday, November 4.

(average of 2,061 new cases per day)

 A total of 14,616 deaths, which is

25 more since Wednesday, November 4.

o GLOBALLY:

 More than 49.3 million positive cases

 More than 1.2 million deaths

o US:

 More than 9.9 million positive cases

 241,218 deaths

This calculation is based on the method that we have done for the past few months and not the method that the State is using for its reporting.

• TEST POSITIVITY RATES (AS OF NOV 1) USING A 3-DAY ROLLING AVERAGE :

 Newark 19.01% as of Nov 1 (vs Oct 25 was 14.33%)

 NJ 7.74% as of Nov 1 (vs Oct 25 was 6.54%)

• WE ALSO HAVE CLUSTER OUTBREAK MAPPING “HOT SPOTS DATA” – HOUSEHOLDS AND BUSINESSES

o There are areas where there are clusters of 2 or more cases.

o Next week, the Mayor will announce new measures to fight against COVID-19.
