The Mayor’s Book Club is the first initiative of #NewarkReads, a city-wide partnership to address literacy in Newark. In Summer 2019, there are two book selections at a 6-8 grade reading level. We encourage all who would like to be a part of the Mayor’s Book Club to sign up here: https://docs.google.com/forms/#NewarkReads. There will be a number of events surrounding the books being held at each of the library branches. There will also be a culminating event at end of the summer for all those who participated, please be sure to check back here for more information regarding all of these Mayor’s Book Club events.
