The Honorable Ras J. Baraka, the Newark Municipal Council, and the Department of Finance recognizes that as a result of the current COVID-19 pandemic, there is a need to assist business owners who are delinquent in their payroll taxes. Effective August 1 - October 30, 2020 this amnesty program will waive any accrued interest & penalties and at the same time provide a level of financial relief for business owners, for 2020 and prior years (All outstanding payroll taxes must be paid in full).
